Fast food chains

Fast food chains are located with in lower income neighborhoods as opposed to higher income.  My question is why are they located in such neighborhoods, other then supplying quick labor jobs.

Americans deserve change and not only this they also deserve to be treated equally.  The equality is almost nothing when their are so little healthcare facilities readily available with in low income neighborhoods.  The equality is also poor when their are a number of fast food chains located with in the low income neighborhoods.  The number of fast food outlets in poor and black neighborhoods may play a role in the obesity epidemic among residents of these areas, suggest the results of a geographical survey(Quigley, 2004).  Making fast food chains available makes easy food accessible at a cheaper price and more appealing to those in low income neighborhoods.  Predominantly black neighborhoods had 2.4 fast food restaurants per square mile, while white neighborhoods only had 1.5 restaurants per square mile (Quigley, 2004).  As you can see on the map most of those areas mapped out with fast food chains are predominantly black/low income population.
